While most people attach the "luxury" tag to furniture based on the price, the priceless qualities that underpin any eye-catching design are style and innovation. These two elements are much better benchmarks. Today, luxury brands have ventured into the manufacture of luxury homewares, which is logical because fashion and home décor essentially share common competences in design and textiles.
At Queen’s Five, we offer a variety of luxury furniture options. Along with other high design goods like luxury candles and home fragrance, we provide a selection of wonderfully designed luxury lighting fixtures to brighten your home.
Founded in the year 2000, Armani/Casa provides the platform for Giorgio Armani to actualize his vision of the ideal living space - intimate, comfortable, special, and sophisticated. The Armani Casa collection includes luxury furniture, fabrics, ornaments, lighting, a complete kitchen system, and a modular bathroom arrangement.
Armani Casa has a broad network of shop-in-shops and single brand stores across major cities throughout the world in over 35 countries. A further expansion of this division is right on course, especially with the opening of the Armani Hotels & Resorts hotel chain in Dubai and Milan.
Armani Casa also provides an interior design service in response to the client's demand for complete projects based on the style and philosophy of Armani. There are interior designers and architects based in Paris, Milan, New York City, and London all dedicated to the design and development of luxury private residences, yachts, commercial real estate projects, and residential complexes.
Having launched her first venture in 2011, Diane Von Furstenberg is a renowned figure in the home décor industry. Her home collection encompasses rugs, tableware, and bedding, and is a joint venture with the Springs Global US, and are only retailed via Bloomingdale's departmental store.
Batiks, animal prints, and floral graphics are a common feature in the printed linens. Her collections essentially draw from intrepid patterns and bold colors that have long been associated with her famed wrap dresses. During the time of launch, her collection had over 150 tabletop pieces, which included dinner plates, mugs, serving dishes, place settings, placeholders, and bowls.
According to Joe Granger, the president of Springs Global, what Diane Von Furstenberg does is quite incredible, and the industry needs brands like this one to restore the excitement, enhance consumer engagement, and to touch their emotions. In the near future, a bath line is expected to launch, followed by a collection of luxury furniture.
Donna Karan believes that the bath and the bedroom are the inner sanctums of our houses, where you truly get to be yourself. As such, just like with your clothes, each piece should ideally be expressive, multi-dimensional, and a gift to yourself. As a renowned figure in interior design and architecture, Donna is constantly being featured in magazines.
Her brand launched the Donna Karan Home and DKNY in the spring of 2001, which are two distinctive bath and bedding collections. Recently, they also launched PureDKNY, which is an eco-friendly home collection that's made from 100% organic cotton. The brand has worked with Lenox, which is a market leader in the design of quality giftware, tabletops, and collectibles, to produces a home décor and tableware collection.
One of the first Italian luxury brands to venture into the homeware spaces was Fendi, which launched the Fendi Casa Home Collection way back in 1989. The collection was launched in conjunction with an Italian firm: Club house Mafia, which was established in the 1970's and specialized in the production of upholstered furniture as well as the associated raw materials.
Fendi Casa has now become widespread, with presence in 60 countries worldwide, from countries in the western Europe and former Soviet Union states to Canada and the United States, to India, South America, Middle East, Singapore, China, and Russia, not to mention Hong Kong and a number of African countries.
Fendi Casa's concept is dressing up rooms in a way that mirrors the house's signature leather and fur coats for its fashion clients. As such, their products often feature mink, fox, zibeline, sheepskin, and their famed "double F" logo. In more recent years, the brand has been involved in the design and development of super-yacht interiors for the LVMH brands Princess Yachts.
Credited with the introduction of the lifestyle approach to the luxury fashion industry, it's no surprise that Ralph Lauren was the first American brand to venture into homeware. Presently, the brand manufactures and retails luxury furniture, fabric, lighting, floor covering, wall covering, tableware, bedding, and even paint.
The brand has also become renowned for its digital prowess, and it's certainly one of the brands that offers the most exciting and engaging experiences when showcasing its home collection. Customers are able to browse through the current and historic collections online, learn about the craftsmanship of each category of items, view individual products, create their own personal portfolios online, and even watch design tutorial videos about the use of color and lighting to enhance the aesthetics of their homes.
In 1992, Versace launched its first Versace Home collection as a collection of textiles for the home in form of duvets, sheets, cushions, and pillows. Soon, a wide range of porcelain dinner sets followed, in a collaboration with Rosenthal, called Rosenthal Meets Versace which echoed its neo-classical sentiments of their fashion textiles.
